Frame Protection
Some guidelines are listed below which should assist you in learning how to increase the life of your trampoline frame: First of all, do not allow children to sit on, stand on, or play with the pads of the trampoline’s frame. The purpose of this padding is to prevent injuries if the trampoline jumper lands too close to the frame.
Do not use any type of chemical on your frame pads. You may hose them off or use a mild soap and water on them.
You should find a location for your trampoline so that it is in the shade, so that it does not become scorched by the sun during the heat of the day.
The pads should not be tied too tight. The reason for this is that if forceful winds occur, the winds may cause the pads to be pulled up, which can result in the straps pulling out, if the pads are tied too tightly.
If an enclosure is contained on your trampoline, the skirt should be lifted up at the location of the pole, or the skirt area should be cut out at the pole. The reason for this is that if the pole is laying up against the skirt, it will cause too much strain on the pads which may cause the skirt seam to rip.
Keep animals away from your trampoline, especially dogs. A common complaint among most trampoline owners is that their dog or dogs eat the pads of the trampoline. There is something about chewing on the trampoline pads that appeals to dogs.
